Everyone's out walking around in air so thick it's steaming. Sweating. Wandering into air conditioning to get a hit of cool. Watching performance art (a man dressed as a teddy bear watching public domain cartoons on a cardboard tv; a man dressed as a shaman inside a plastic box painting cryptic messages while music plays and his drawings are projected on the wall behind us), listening to live music (jazz like New Orleans and New York), watching acrobatic dancers (performing with red faces and wet clothes clinging to their backs) and sometimes looking at art. Seeing or being seen in trendy cafes with wide plate glass windows. It's a party!
